First day with Danish birds
Hello there,
Today was my first day at Gedser as a birdringer assistant but it is also my first day in Scandinavia ever. This a unique experience to get to know some of the species that I have never seen before (such as the Icterine warbler (Hippolais icterina)). This is also a great chance to get to know other ringers to share knowledge about birdringing technics or criterias to identify some species by hand, but also to know the conservation efforts established outside of France to protect birds populations.
I am very psyched to be here and I am sure that my Danish journey is in good hands.
All the best,
Gwendal
