A visit from Rudolf
As we had already seen on the weather forecast yesterday, it did not look good for going out this morning. It was raining heavily and the wind was very strong. So neither ringing nor observations today.
When the rain stopped for a while, our Friend, the “Rein-”deer Rudolf came by to say hello. He was just feeding under the nets in front of the window!

Around noon, the participants of the bird observatory meeting arrived. This Saturday and Sunday, there is a meeting with members of Blåvand, Skagen and Gedser Fuglestation here.
While the meeting took place Gerd took me to a trip to Bøtø. We saw The head the White-tailed Eagle “Havørn”, the rest of the bird was hidden, as it was sitting in its nest in a tree. Other highlights were two Avocets “Klyde” and male and female Garganeys “Atingand”, thee Red-necked Grebes “Gråstrubet Lappedyker” and two Marsh Harriers “Rørhøg”.
