Not only the birds go south,,,
Today was the last day for the Frenchies... The second french team is heading South ( and in fact, mostly West) tomorrow. Time to migrate, like the birds!
It has been a quieter and greyer day today, but it was nice to have some time to enjoy our last ringed bird in Gedser this year. Another sparrowhwak was trapped this morning, a few siskins and some blackbirds are still around.
There has also been adrenaline when a rough legged buzzard was seen in a net from a distance but this big bird wasn't really trapped and escaped easely.
Nevertheless, the frenchies are really happy with all the new birds in the hand, the discoveries of some danish food and their stay in general.
We leave an Henrik who would (at least?) be on is own for the next days and we thank him and øle for the great company and Hans for this ringing opportunity. Cheers Denmark!
