Retrap day
Sky was really clear this morning and I opened the nets in a soft light of dawn, the birds starting to wake up when I was finishing to open. It was a very peacefull atmosphere... too peacefull!
I had a couple of birds in the first rounds so I thought it would be a better day than yesterday. Unfortunately, it stopped very soon and I had a few zero´s round. Only the local birds seemed to be around and I had more retraps than new bird ringed today. Nothing really exciting in the retraps, except a beautyfull male shrike (rødrygget tornskade) which sticked around and a blackbird (solsort) apparently born here who seems to be breeding now.
